I am an anthropologist, reproductive rights activist, and avid gamer working and studying in unceded Syilx territory. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from UBCO in 2020 and am now pursuing a Master of Arts in the CESCE program supervised by Dr. Susan Frohlick. My Masters work looks at how inclusive language is, or is not, being adopted in abortion related activism and services in Canada.

Abortion access, such as medication and procedures, is essential healthcare and as such should be accessible to all who need to access it. Inclusive abortion access would allow people of all gender identities who can be pregnant, and are pregnant, to access abortion care in a respectful and affirming setting.

I am passionate about activism, social issues, and using academic work to create visible change in one's own community and in solidarity with others.

I currently work as the Student Learning Hub Coordinator at UBC's Okanagan Campus. I am excited to translate the principals I value in research into this new context and help create positive change in academic environments.
